Why have a Parent Teacher Association (PTA)?
The Elm Park PTA organises lots of events throughout the school year to support the school in providing equipment, entertainment and extra funding resources throughout the school.
We are a registered charity, with a committee that is run by a core group of people and a number of volunteers.
Without the PTA there are opportunities that cannot be offered to your children, such as actors providing fun, educational performances, additional classroom equipment, in the form of: digital cameras, extra/updated books, storage facilities, improved library, science equipment, playground markings, scooter and boot racks, outdoor play equipment, stage lighting, microphones etc.
How we communicate with you
We communicate via letters in the children’s book bags, with Texts, the Notice Boards around school and also in the PTA and school ‘Newsletters’.
This year we are lucky enough to have Stuart Kellock to help us with the website and improve online communication with you. We are setting up a PTA blog and we are looking to provide email updates.
How you can get involved
If you want to get involved, but don’t know how, or just have a general question and can’t get to the committee meetings, please send us a message using the comment box to the right and it will go direct to the head of the PTA Stuart Kellock.
We are always looking for helpers support, and always put up volunteer sign up sheets in the school reception. We normally do this a week or two before the next event and we will send out texts to let you know they are there.
