Sports Premium
Background
As part of the London 2012 Olympic Legacy Project, the government announced that it was to provide funding of £150 million per annum for the academic years 2013 to 2014 and 2014 to 2015 to improve provision of physical education and sport in primary schools in England – The Primary PE and Sport Premium. This funding has continued annually for schools.
This funding is allocated to primary schools. The funding is ring-fenced and therefore, can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools. At Elm Park, we take great pride in the Physical Education Curriculum and the wide variety of extra sports opportunities we provide for our children.
Each year we will publish and share how we spend the additional funding from the government to further enhance sport at Elm Park Primary School.
